Who we are

Shona MacLennan
The main person behind Solas, Shona’s worked in the Highlands for over twenty years and during this time she has built up a substantial knowledge of the people and the area as well as expertise in development issues.

Shona has been involved in some of the big projects in the Highlands, such as the UHI Millennium Institute and Sabhal Mòr Ostaig as well as various development programmes.

Stewart Meikle
Amongst our associates we are very pleased to include Stewart. He is well-known in the development field throughout the Highlands and Islands and has worked on many major initiatives and projects throughout the area. His knowledge of European funding in particular is a major asset to us.

Rachel Phillips
Rachel is a recent recruit who works with us on the research and admin side of the business. She graduated in Business and Information Management from Glasgow Caledonian University and has just returned from a year spent travelling.
