- “What's Your Story?” The Creative Tourism Conference

This was a groundbreaking opportunity for collaboration between the tourism and creative industries. Supported by Highlands & Islands Enterprise, the event aimed to cultivate the next generation of tourism attractions by building stronger commercial links between Scotland's biggest industry and one of its most dynamic.

Reaping the benefits of Europe’s special places - Euromontana
Client: Highlands & Islands Enterprise
November 2005, Aviemore
We organised Euromontana’s three-day high profile international seminar. It comprised a series of professionally facilitated discussion sessions, based around case study information and visits. This high level exchange provided an important opportunity for leading members of the international rural policy community to progress knowledge in this field at a time of considerable flux in rural policy development.

- Biomass Production: Energy from forestry and agriculture
Client: Highland Birchwoods
November 2005, Elgin
Jointly hosted by Northern Wood Heat, North Sea Pro Bio Energy, Pro Bio, H&I Woodfuel Development Programme and H&I Community Energy Company, this event brought together agricultural and forestry interests and laid the foundations for an integrated approach to the development of a rural biomass industry. Speakers included national and provincial government officials and technical experts from throughout Europe.

four-day parliament, debating in Scottish and Irish Gaelic, various issues relevant
to students from three Gaelic-speaking nations - Scotland, Northern Ireland and
Eire. All this and a whole host of social events involving the local community
in Islay as well!
